The CBorg AI Portal is a Berkeley Lab IT Division platform giving researchers and staff secure access to commercial and on-prem AI models for chat, text analysis, summarization, search, coding assistance, image analysis, and more. Named in part after chemist Glenn Seaborg, it playfully nods to our eventual assimilation by hyper-intelligent AI.

Data Security
CBorg connects you to commercial models using enterprise terms of service under contracts between the Lab and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). CBorg is acceptable for use with non-public data (e.g. prudent-to-protect and pre-publication data). Use with sensitive data may be permitted with an approved access plan.
